Your brief should be as complete and clear as possible. It is the cornerstone of your request and of our future collaboration. It is from this brief that we will draw up the quote and the creative schedule. It is the cornerstone of your request and of our future collaboration. It is from this brief that we will draw up the quote and the creative schedule. Incomplete information or changes during the course of the project could lead to an amendment to the quote initially approved. Here is a non-exhaustive list of information required to draw up your brief: - The context - The target audience - The objectives/message to be conveyed - The deadline for completion - The budget - Expected media - Technical specifications (format, choice of colours, etc.) - Content (image, text)- Inspiration
No, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Why ? Two things need to be distinguished:1. The technical tool, also known as the source file: this is what was used to build, create and correct the required elements using grey matter and software. It is the result of know-how. A source file can be compared to the bread recipe in your bakery.2. The product: this is the communication medium defined in the quote and sold as such (e.g. a poster in PDF format, an Instagram visual in JPG format, an animation in GIF format, etc.) This corresponds to the bread sold to you by your baker.Just as the baker owns his recipe, the graphic designer owns his creation and therefore his source files. Delivery of the technical tools entails remuneration based on the nature of the communication product (poster, billboard, etc.). In addition, copyright and exploitation rights are transferred and use is clearly defined and limited to a specific purpose.
